The red brick house that sits on the P&H Flour Mill property across from Riverside park has been scheduled for demolition to accommodate for the widening of King Street. The road widening is currently scheduled for 2015 and is expected to cost $13-$14 million dollars. Addressing the congestion at King and Fountain is definitely long over due, unfortunately it’s not so much a solution as a stop gap, the 2015 project is only expected to provide a fix for about a decade and at the moment there are no plans for what will come next.
